Early Christian basilica at the site "Manchevci"
The basilica, which is one of the nine basilicas in the city and originates from the 4th-5th century BC, has a pretty preserved floor mosaic with a decorative arrangement that was characteristic for the 4th and 5th century. Particularly significant stands the mosaics field with a donor's inscription that mentions Thomas and John, who probably built the facility.
Fortress of Tsar Samuel
With its ramparts and fortified towers the fortress occupies the entire Ohrid hill which rises to 100 meters above the level of the lake.
Throughout history, the fortress has been destroyed many times, rebuilt and upgraded, throughout all historical epochs - Romans, Byzantines, Slavs and Ottoman Turks.

Stone Dolls - rock forms near the village. Kuklica, Kratovo region, on the right side of Kriva Reka, more precisely on the eroded part of its river terrace, at an altitude of 415-420 meters. The whole phenomenon is spread over an area of about 0.3-0.4 km, and about 120 smaller and about 15 larger forms have been identified.
In the Kuklica deposit there are two groups of earthen pyramids: those in the central part of the small depression at the foot of the hill Dubica are larger (up to 10 m high), independent and in the form of earthen pillars; to the east (right) of the previous ones, smaller forms (up to 5 m high) are located on the sides of the Zabel sublimation, close to each other and often merged at the base. Due to the interesting appearance of the large earthen pillars that resemble human figures arranged as "petrified wedding guests", the local population calls the whole phenomenon "Merry Wedding".
Stone dolls in this area are a natural phenomenon caused by the long-term erosion of volcanic rocks with different resistance: igneous vibrates, andesites and tuffs. Stronger, more compact rocks (ignimbrites, andesites) slowly erode and protect the soft tuffs beneath them. Protected in this way, the tuffs, together with the rock block at the top, remain protruding into the relief in the form of estuaries and pillars, or earthen pyramids. Meanwhile, long-term atmospheric influences (precipitation, temperature changes, wind) have completed, modeled, modified and therefore they have such a characteristic shape. These processes, which began tens of thousands of years ago, continue today, with some earth pyramids gradually being destroyed and others being created. With that, the pyramids are permanently changing their shape, only that process is slow and cannot be noticed in a month or a year.
The phenomenon of earthen pyramids or stone dolls is a rare phenomenon worldwide and their creation requires special geological, geomorphological, climatic and vegetation conditions. This is especially true of well-defined, typical phenomena such as in Kuklica. Therefore, this deposit is protected as a natural rarity. At the same time, activities should not be undertaken that would jeopardize the site, individual patterns or reduce the ambient value and natural appearance of the space. Due to the small area of the site and its "sensitivity", the number of visitors to acceptable frames should be limited. Otherwise, this phenomenon will not be preserved in its spectacle for future generations.
LEGEND
Among the people, there is a legend about the origin of the stone dolls, which is connected with the wedding and the unfortunate love of a boy with two girls from that area. According to legend, a great tragedy took place in the village of Kuklica a long time ago. A boy, who was a great master of masonry, and at the same time a liar and a lover, lived in the village of Kuklica. One girl fell in love with him, but she married another man, and the disappointed girl cursed the newlyweds. In the legend, the bride was a richer girl from the lower neighborhood, while the girl in love who threw the curse was a more beautiful but poor girl from the upper neighborhood. When the wedding day came, everything seemed to be in order: the couple got together, the other guests arrived, and the festivities began. The moment the newlyweds kissed, the curse came true and all the wedding guests got petrified. The married wedding guests still testify to the anger and pain of the unfortunate girl. In another version of the legend, it is said that the boy scheduled a wedding for both girls on the same day, and when the poorer beautiful girl heard the bagpipes and drums, she cursed the bride and groom to petrify. The villagers call the place "Merry Wedding" or "Stone Wedding" because the bride and groom remained smiling, and the newlyweds were petrified in a gentle embrace. Because of these petrified "dolls", the place got its name - Kuklica.
